Yesterday, I attended This Must Be the Place, a traveling art show that takes place in vacant buildings around St. Louis. Yesterday, I was blown away by the work and how thoughtful it all was. Much of it was site-specific and worked in interesting and creative ways with the space it was placed in. I took some pictures, so, you get to experience my friends standing in front of art in front of abandoned places : )
It’s been a while since I’ve shamelessly promoted an event on here, and I owe it to you loyal followers (hello.. anyone out there?) to participate in another art show and drag you all out to it.
Usually I throw some teaser out there yada yada but it’s Friday! No rules! Here’s the whole thing!
Got the privilege of designing the Senior Seminar Presentation literature for the Communication Design program at my alma mater, Sam Fox School of Design & Visual Arts at Washington University in St. Louis. Which is a mouthful. Here’s me with the poster and a matching jacket.
Since I haven’t seem the physical pamphlets at all yet, I’ll hold off on showing the complete design.. I guess consider this a teaser or something? For more, check out the seniors’ stuff on Monday!
…and all you got was this dumb set of pictures. If you’re unfamiliar with SXSW, calling it a festival isn’t really helpful. It’s more of a take-over of all of Austin. They fill the entire city with cool things, like music, entrepreneurship, films and free junk. I went with no tickets or plans and it was one of the most amazing weeks I’ve had. Pictures here.
